As it has been made clear by the promotional videos and leaked images that Zune HD will be something more than just another music player and will feature apps and 3d games. In addition to a few casual games that are going to be preloaded, calculator and MSN Weather apps will also be pre-loaded onto the Zune HD, the official Microsoft press release has made it clear.
“Later this year, Zune plans to release free applications such as Twitter for Zune and Facebook for Zune, in addition to fun 3-D games such as “Project Gotham Racing: Ferrari Edition,” “Vans Sk8: Pool Service” and “Audiosurf(TM) Tilt.” Games can be added to Zune HD via Zune Marketplace over the Wi-Fi connection or when connected to the Zune PC software.”
And yes this statement would have made some facebook and twitter fans happy who always want to stick to their online social accounts and now they can do this while listening to music on their Zune.
It looks like we have a new gaming device heading our way and thats an open challenge to Apple, Sony, and Nintendo and yes we still have to know that how the new Zune integrates with Xbox and we will have a post on that later.
