Google has responded to Apple’s lawsuit against HTC by stating that they are with their partners i.e (HTC). This lawsuit can also be seen as Apple‘s move to take down Android because many of the most successful Android phones are produced by HTC and they are working on many others for future, Google’s backing up of HTC in this case is understood.
This is what Google has said about this issue by mailing to TechCrunch.
“We are not a party to this lawsuit. However, we stand behind our Android operating system and the partners who have helped us to develop it.”
With Nokia, Apple merely counter-sued, to go on the attack against HTC has led to speculation that, because of Google, it’s personal because Google is a bigger enemy for Apple and we know that.
There are reports that the lawsuit was filed one month to the day after Google enabled multitouch on the Nexus One, which was 6 months after Eric Schmidt resigned from the Apple board.
