Google is in immense pressure these days because of the search deal between Yahoo! and Microsoft and Bing is all set to throw its cards so in these tough conditions Google has to enhance its current set and has to do it fast.
But hey don’t under estimate Google as it has been working on its secret project “the next generation of Google search” This isn’t just some minor upgrade or little changes would be made but an entire new infrastructure for the world’s largest search engine. In other words: it’s a new version of Google.

You won’t find many big changes visually but trust me this is totally new Google Search.
Google specifically states that its goal for the new version of Google Search is to improve its indexing speed, accuracy, size, and comprehensiveness. Here’s what they wrote:
“For the last several months, a large team of Googlers has been working on a secret project: a next-generation architecture for Google’s web search. It’s the first step in a process that will let us push the envelope on size, indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions. The new infrastructure sits “under the hood” of Google’s search engine, which means that most users won’t notice a difference in search results. But web developers and power searchers might notice a few differences, so we’re opening up a web developer preview to collect feedback.”
This is a straight forward message and challenge to Microsoft that has brought or i should say redressed Live search as Bing search and Google won’t let them away at all!
