Microsoft Tags demonstrated – Opens doors to new possibilities

Imagine you are reading an article on your favorite magazine about your favorite singer’s new album and their is an exclusive video that the magazine has uploaded for you on YouTube and to view that you just take a photo of the ‘color code’ image printed on the magazine from your mobile phone and the phone automatically takes you to the page on which video is placed…sounds good nah! Well Microsoft has been working on a similar kind of a thing and they have demoed it in front of a guy from CNET.

Here’s how it works

First you have to install an app to your device that can be your iPod, iPhone or a Windows Mobile and then take a picture of the code image and your phone will do the next, Once the pattern is recognized, you can obtain digital content directly on your phone whether it be a ZJTechLive’s link, YouTube video, or whatever. This phenomenal technology can be used anywhere business cards, product packaging, magazines, anything that can benefit from supplemental online content and has a flat surface can be Tagged.

Microsoft Tag is supported on most of the platforms and you can download it here http://gettag.mobi/ from your mobile phone

Check out CNET’s video about Tag below.
