Now according to the latest leaked documents from Verizon , Froyo update for Droid will start rolling out by 3rd August.  Droid is the most popular and successful phone from Motorola and Verizon. Starting 8/3/2010, Verizon Wireless introduces the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for DROID by Motorola.

The new Android 2.2 (Froyo) software update includes new enhancements and tons of shortcuts.

It’s like downloading a new phone!

Enhancements

• Improved Web browsing with Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta for Android
• New security options including remote device wipe and device lock, password complexity and minimum password length.
• Easily switch between the eight most recent applications.
• Rotate the screen 270 degrees to work with apps in any direction.

• Enhanced audio quality
• Easy shortcuts for access to the phone, application launcher and browser from any of the five home screens
• Support Exchange calendars in the Calendar application.

According to Engadget, they have heard from HTC about the Android 2.2 Froyo update. Update will roll out by the end of the week to the European Desire users. The update will bring 720p video, iTunes Sync, new HTC AppShare widget and smart Caller ID feature to your HTC Desire.

“The Android 2.2 (FroYo) update for HTC Desire will start rolling out across Europe this weekend. As well as including the complete set of Android 2.2 features, the update will contain a few special additions of our own through the latest iteration of HTC Sense. The update will provide 720p video capture, HTC’s App Share widget, as well as our enhanced HTC Caller ID, and improved multi-language keyboard. Also, through the update, HTC Sync will allow HTC Desire users to sync their music with iTunes.

HTC Desire users will be notified that the over-the-air update is available to download when their phone automatically checks for software updates. The update won’t delete any of the phone’s content. However, due to the size of the update, we would advise using a WiFi connection to download it wherever possible to avoid additional data charges.

This update will initially roll out to unlocked HTC Desire handsets. Operator specific versions of the update are undergoing testing and we expect to make them available in several weeks’ time.”

According to DigiTimes Acer will exhibit a Dual Boot Netbook at Taipei Computer Applications Show, which will take place from August 5 to 9. Finally hackers from Amsterdam got the hold on leaked Froyo for Samsung Galaxy S, and are working on it to make it available for public. According to hackers download will be available to public at 1200 Amsterdam time (6 A.M. EDT/ 3 A.M. PDT).
