An exciting news for Zune HD users,  v4.5 firmware update is going to hit the shelves soon, which will bring exciting features like  SmartDJ, new codecs, and Marketplace access via AV dock to your Zune HD. In an interview with Marketing Manager Michael Yaeger Engadget asked about Mac support and worldwide release of Zune HD but no clear answer by Manager. Still the ETA for the update 4.5 is unknown.Yesterday we reported that Zune HD 64GB makes appearance on Official Zune site but the link was dead. Maybe a Zune HD 64GB will be coming with the new update!

With the firmware update 4.3 Microsoft promised about the availability of HQ games and apps for Zune HD. Today Microsoft releases the Facebook app for their music player Zune HD. The app is pretty solid.  Twitter app for Zune HD is already available. To install the apps you will need the firmware 4.3 installed on your Zune HD. Download the app directly from Market Place or using the Zune Desktop client.

Zune HD’s releasing date has been announced and it is coming in what is considered to be Apple’s month that is September! Microsoft has announced the date officially and Zune HD is all set to release on 15th September. Apple holds a keynote in September every month and announces its products every year and it is much expected that Apple would announce the new version of iPod so this year we are going to have a one on one competition between both the players by the top players in the market. Microsoft that had some failures in the past regarding Zune has came back quite well and Zune HD looks quite good in the previews and its features and dynamics are good as well on other hand Apple’s iPod is already at top of the charts and famous worldwide so lets see if Microsoft is able to break Apple’s No 1 streak and make its way in the market of portable music players.

The Zune HD’s browser is optimized for the touch screen with an onscreen keyboard, but there’s no word on whether it will be capable of streaming Flash media (used by sites such as YouTube and Pandora), a capability that is currently lacking in the Safari browser for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Microsoft also announed that it woulod offer online video download from its market place. Zune is also the first Mp3 player to offer HD(high defination video output).

OLED display, HD radio, and high-definition video playback (using an optional dock accessory). The Zune HD will be the first Zune to include Internet Explorer web browser as it offers WiFi technology. The Zune HD’s browser is optimized for the touch screen with an onscreen keyboard.

With the above capabilities Zune can be a contender for iPod but we can’t ignore Apple’s surprising skills that have surprised us in the form of iPhone and other products so lets wait till September and we will know what both the giants are cooking. One thing is for sure that September is going to be an interesting month for all of us and we will be covering all the buzz for all of you.

Samsung released successor to its one of the most popular touch screen mobile Omnia and has named it Omnia HD. As it is understood by its name the phone now features high defination video technology. There have been some design differences as well between the previous and new Omnia as The curved ends give it a more eye-catching, aerodynamic look. Its slightly bigger than the previous version of Omnia too.

Now it features 3.7 inches screen instead of the previous 2.7 inches.16 million-color display. In all ways, it’s bright and beautiful–colors were vibrant, graphics were sharp and video lives up the HD name. The display uses Samsung’s TouchWiz interface with a customizable widget bar on the left side. The touch interface for both finger swiping and selecting icons was responsive and the Symbian interface is good too. The display works in landscape and includes an accelerometer for certain functions like the virtual QWERTY keyboard. Speaking of which, the keyboard is very comfortable, thanks to the display’s large size. We had no problems tapping away.

The three physical controls below the display include Talk and End/power button; they’re rather thin, but we didn’t find them to be creating big problems. At the back of the phone an impressive 8 megapixel camera is present that works extremly fine. It has a flash but no sliding lens cover. In our opinion its an impressive device with a lot of huge features and is all set to challenge other phones in the market.
