According to highly placed source of CultofMac T-Mobile USA and Apple are in the last stages of an iPhone agreement. The source told that there are 80% chances of iPhone for T-Mobile in Q3. According to reports Apple’s exclusive contract with AT&T is going to end this year. So, there are many chances that Apple offer iPhone to other cellular companies.

Deutsche Telekom’s CEO René Obermann already told the Financial Times that T-Mobile is getting the iPhone. He said: “T-Mobile USA is hoping to start selling the popular smartphone later this year or next year”.

I have already posted some similar rumors of iPhone coming to Verizon. But this time its T-Mobile. Lets see who will be the winner of Apple’s tremendous device.

Apple revealed its latest iPhone officially at WWDC 2010. The phone has proven itself to be the best iPhone ever produced. The new design, upgraded camera, faster processor, and thousands of apps, this iPhone has everything that is required for anyone to buy this phone. The new iPhone 4 features a lot of new and upgraded features and we will have a close look at them in this post in detail.

First of all we should look at the monster specs of this device

3.5-inch screen

24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS

3.5 inch mm headset jack

iOS

Apple renamed the iPhone OS to iOS at WWDC10 to make it more comfortable to fit it in other devices such as iPods, iPads and other possibilities of the future and a lot of new features have been added to this operating system to make it run with the new iPhone 4 as smoothly as it should. The big additions to this operating system Apple has recently made are multitasking, folders, iBooks, along with user-defined wallpapers, Mail’s new unified inbox, Bluetooth keyboard support and a lot more.

Battery life

Speaking of battery life, iPhone has proved itself to be counted among the best, with talk time upto 7 hours on 3G and 14 hours on 2G and a standby time of 300 hours iPhone makes it last long on a single recharge and don’t forget that the device also offers 6 hours of 3G internet use and 10 hours of Wifi fun. Video playback: Up to 10 hours. Audio playback: Up to 40 hours.

Capacity and Pricing

iPhone 4 will be available in two different storage capacities that a 16Gb and a 32Gb model that are priced at $199 and $299 respectively.

Design

Although iPhone 4 features the same native iPhone look but its different from the older phones. It has a unique shape and size and is termed as the slimmest iPhone ever. The iPhone 4 is just barely heavier than the 3GS at 4.8 ounces then 4.76 ounces, but it’s is significantly thinner (9.3mm vs. 12.3mm) and a is a bit narrower (58.6mm vs. 62.1mm).

Retina Display

Steve Jobs mentioned an all-new “Retina Display” for the iPhone 4. But do you know what exactly is a “Retina Display?” Apart from a marketing buzzword, it’s essentially a high-end screen with four times as many pixels in the same screen real estate. So it allows you to zoom on images and text and see the things more clearly than ever before.

Camera

The new iPhone 4 features a 5 Mega-Pixel camera and Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio. Apple has finally added the HD recording feature to the iPhone and it was looking awesome in the demo should by Steve Jobs at the event.

Processor

iPhone is now powered by a A4 Chip that is also found in the iPad. Its a powerful chip that itself is a tighter package that uses less power while running faster than the processor in the 3GS.

Sensors

The new iPhone 4 has a gyroscope built-in. This means that it can track movement with a very high precision, much higher than the built-in accelerometers in the previous iPhones. It’s 3-axis, so it’s capable of detecting pitch, roll, and yaw. Couple with the accelerometer, you have 6-axis motion sensing that would make motion sensor gaming a lot more fun.

Apps and Games

Apple iPhone 4 runs the same OS as of the previous iPhone 3GS so all the older titles would work on it making it compatible to thousands of quality apps and games already available to download.

Steve Jobs told at the beginning of his keynote that he is going to discuss only 8 features of the new iPhone 4 out the total 100.

The first one is the one about which we already knew that is “an all new design.”

Second: this is a biggie. Something that they have called the retina display.

Whats this? Here’s the answer: “But if you do a little work and put in higher resolution artwork, they’ll look stunning — so we suggest you do that. … We think this is going to set the standard for displays for years to come. It may be the most important single component of the hardware, and we’ve got something here now that’s like the best window on the planet. So that’s the Retina Display

Third: the iPhone 4 is powered by the A4. It’s designed by Apple’s own team, and it’s wonderful to have on the iPhone.”

Four: “We’ve tied the gyro, accelerometer, and GPS for 6-axis motion sensing. It’s perfect for gaming — and one of the reasons it’s perfect is because it’s built into every iPhone 4, so you know it’s there.”

Number five. This is a great one. A whole new camera system built into iPhone 4.”

Six: iPhone OS4. The most advanced mobile OS in the world.”

“We’re renaming it! We’re taking away the phone! iOS4.”

Number seven: iBooks. We are bringing it to the iPhone.”-As excepted

Number eight: iAds. Why are we doing iAds? For one simple reason: to help our devs earn money so they can continue to create free and low-cost apps for users.”

BGR has confirmed from multiple AT&T store representatives that their quotas for the month of June are very high and BGR is suggesting it as a notification of new iPhone’s release. iPhone 4G is confirmed to launch in the last week of June (about which we reported earlier as well). BGR reports that if the new iPhone is released on 25th of June then that would be the last week of June and the sale quota would not meet as BGR says it has heard from the stores that their is a 25-30 % increase in their quota. So we would surely like to see iPhone 4G on tables at Apple Stores on Friday June 18th or any where near to that.

Mozilla has just announced that Firefox home is coming soon for iPhone. This app will let you to connect with with your desktop and you will be able to browse your recent history , bookmarks and you can also set your tabs from your desktop. Mozilla has also said that there will be a bar which will let you search through everything and it will also predict the options based on available data. While not a “full” Firefox browser, according to the blog post (with the addendum, “either technically or due to policy”), the pages still load from within the app itself. The releasing date is not confirmed yet and we will let you know as soon as they announce one.

Here is how its useful according to Mozilla

Why is this useful?

Left work in a hurry? You can pick up where you left off with access to the list of tabs you just had open on your desktop.

Need those directions to that restaurant you were just reading about on your desktop? The confirmation code for your flight? Just start typing in the Awesome Bar and those pages will be right at your fingertips.

Does it drive you crazy to have to enter the full URL on your iPhone that you’ve visited several times from your desktop? You won’t need to anymore with this app.

Apple has revealed the latest version of iPhone OS 4.0. The biggest news about is that it has finally added the Multitasking feature to the iPhone but there is a bad news for those how have iPhones older than the iPhone 3GS because they are not going to get this feature along with some others as well. Apple has added spell check to the iPhone and a User Defined wallpaper option that was one of my favorites on jailbroken iPhones. The event took place at 1-Infinite loop campus in Cupertino and has added a lot of new features for users as well as iPhone app developers as new SDK is now available for download.

One more notable feature is the folders features that adds folders to your iPhone in which you can put apps by categorizing them. They have also added the Game Center feature that includes achievements, leaderboards, and match making. It will be available as a “developer preview,” and out for consumers later this year.

Here are some screenshots of the new version of the iPhone OS

Here are the main features of the new iPhone OS

Multitasking.

Spell check

Bluetooth keyboard support

User-defined wallpaper

Tap to focus when recording video, just like with photos, and a 5x digital zoom for the camera.

Playlist creation and nested playlists.

App folders for sorting apps! You can even put an app folder in the dock.

Enhanced Mail! You can have a merged inbox view, switch between inboxes quickly, and sync to more than one Exchange account. There’s also threaded messaging (at last!) and in-app attachment viewing.

iBooks, just like on iPad, only smaller. You can wirelessly sync books between platforms, a la Kindle.

Enterprise features, including remote device management and wireless app distribution.

Game Center. Includes achievements, leaderboards, and match making. It will be available as a “developer preview,” and out for consumers later this year.

Developers are getting plenty of new tricks too:

New SDK, Now available!

1,500 new APIs.

Background audio

Background VoIP

Background location data, both with live GPS for backgrounded turn-by-turn, and cell tower-based for lower power draw.

Local notifications. Like push notifications, but sends a notification straight from the app without needing a push notification server, perfect for an alarm, for instance.

Fast app switching. Saves the state of an app and resumes it from where you left off, without dwelling in memory.

iAd. Apple says it’s for keeping “free apps free.” The ads keep you in the app, while also taking over the screen and adding interactivity — using HTML 5 for video — up to simple gaming in-ad. Apple will offer a 60 / 40 split on revenue, and users can even buy apps straight from an ad.

In-app SMS.

Map overlays.

Quick look for previewing documents.

Photo Library access.

Calendar access.

Full access to the camera.

Video playback and capture.

Date and address “data detectors.”

Automated testing and performance / power analysis (the same tools Apple uses).
