There are many softwares available that you can use to use your iPhone and iPod touch as flash drive and today i am going to discuss one of them, this one is called iPhone Explorer, its free and easy to use.

So here’s how it works

You install the software on your Mac, or your PC (there’s an app for each platform) and you’re ready to go. You’ll see your iPhone appear when it’s plugged into your computer. You can view the folder structure, and drag and drop items to or from the iPhone to your desktop or back the other way.

You can also create, delete and rename folders on your iPhone. If your iPhone is jailbroken, you can access the real root and then recover things like your address book, emails and SMS messages.

It is Compatible with all iPhones and iPod Touches including the new 3GS and 3.0 firmware. Works with or without jailbreaking.

Hackers l3lack J4ck, The Revival and djdut2000 have put together yet another modified iPod firmware, this time its the iPod touch interface in your iPod 5G and 5.5 G. In fact, it has a bit of the touch and a bit of the iPod Classic, as the other screenshots show:

Obviously, it’s not going to be the same thing without real on-screen touchy-touchy action but the results seem quite good. In fact, even while it has some little bugs that are being resolved now, it looks surprisingly excellent to me. However, like all non-Apple modifications, be aware that this may void your guarantee, render your iPod useless and make lightning fall from the sky and disintegrate you. here are other firmwares we recommend you to try (all tested and working fine)

Here is the procedure to get the firmware on your iPod

1. Download your theme nd save it to your desktop, and extract it.

2. Download iPodWizard 1.3 from -HERE- and open it.

3. Make sure your iPod is connected and readable by iPW

4. Open the bin file with iPodWizard and flash it to your iPod

5. **In top left corner of iPW, there is a box with the label “Firmware Information” with a table underneath with Image Checksum etc.** If 0×2D2A370B’s status is Read Only, right click and fix checksums. If its status is OK, then don’t do this step.

6. Write to iPod

7. Unplug after it has successfully written.

8. Replug quickly

9. Hard Reboot (Center + Menu) May take a few seconds to load.

10. Unplug it when you see Do Not Disconnect symbol.

Note:- Your files e.g songs videos etc won’t show till you connect your iPod to iTunes. When you connect to iTunes it will ask you to update your firmware to 1.3 version. Simply say No. Thats it

A new report tells that Apple will hold its special music and media event on 9th of September scheduling the keynote for Wednesday, Sept. 9.

We all knew that Apple is going to hold its music event but their was a confusion with the date but the report now suggests that Apple will have its keynote on 9 September and we can expect that Apple will come up with its music player iPod with a great zeal as Microsoft is trying to take its position inthe music player market where Apple is the current leader.

Steve Jobs who is not so ‘healthy’ these days is also expected on stage which makes this event more interesting for us.

Expected to be a part of the event are “Cocktail,” Apple’s full-length album download bundle with extras, and a new iPod touch and iPod nano, both sporting cameras.

iTunes is also rumored to release in the same event with bluray and social media integrating features.
