LG’s CEO Nam Yong has said that half of its upcoming smartphones will be Android power. This comes as a surprise for us as LG has a large list of phones that are featuring Windows and we are also aware of the deal that LG and Microsoft announced back at MWC last year, which supposedly made Windows Mobile LG’s “primary smartphone OS “. This is obviously a reaction of the high demand of Android phones and it ever growing world wide popularity. LG has produced some remarkable phones last year and had been successful since then.

LG as expected came up with something unique, something special and this time its not just ordinary development they have brought to the world of mobile phones but is a feature that would change the face of your mobile phone from A to Z! What they have done is that they have added a projector at the back of there upcoming phone named LG ‘EXPO’ that makes it capable of projecting images, videos, games and everything on the wall next to you.

This would obviously change the way we use mobile phones to a great extent. The LG Expo is a Windows Mobile 6.5 based phone on AT&T with a built-in Pico Projector accessory that can be attached when you need to project slides, pics, videos or anything on wall next to you. This tiny device can project a 10 feet wide screen picture on the wall which has reasonably good quality. No cover or part of the phone needs to be removed to attach the additional device. When not required, the device can be detached. LG ‘EXPO’ Windows Mobile phone is also powered by the powerful 1Ghz Snapdragon processor.

Firstly revealed at IFA in Germany it was named as Etna but this name was not used at the official release. But most of the things are same as were discussed at IFA. The phone has 3-inch touchscreen and a 5MP camera. It also has a QWERTY slider keyboard that makes it a bit thicker. LG has defined it as a phone for young professionals and developers may just to keep Microsoft happy!. The phone is expected to be available in the 4th quarter of the year.

The specs for LG GW620 Anroid phone are it has a screen of TFT resistive touchscreen, 256K colors with size of 320 x 480 pixels, 3.0 inches.

It has a Full QWERTY keyboard - Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate

A card slot that can store microSD (TransFlash), up to 16GB

It has a cam at its rear 5 MP, 2560 x 1920 pixels, autofocus

Its is available in Blue on Black colour and comes with a GPS support. Dimensions and weight details are still not revealed but phone looks a bit thick to me because of its QWERTY keyboard.

The phone is a touch phone with an 5 Mega pixel exellent camera. But one drawback of the phone is that it does not support the themes and you can not just install the themes the usual way.

But we have solution for that too guys. There is an app called Theme manager 3.2 . By installing this app you can have multiple themes on your LG Viewty. That include many themes that will make your LG Viewty just like iPhone and there are many other themes as well.

Download Theme manager here ( includes themes as well)

EFS Media Builder Download

When loading up Theme Manager attempts to locate the ThemeList.txt file which can be stored either in Memory Card or the Phone Memory.

1) Using EFS Media Builder navigate to “LGAPP/Media/swf/”.

Actually its a wrist watch that you could just imagine or you would have just seen in you r favorite Bond movies.

Flight mode

Wow it has got a leather strap that would be loved by fashion curious people out there. The screen is not large but thats ok cause no one would like to have a screen on his or her hand bigger than that. It has a blue tooth support and a blue tooth headset comes with it so you don’t have to stick your wrist to your ear while talking. As mentioned above it has an exellent sunlight legibility so you can see your screen in a sunny day too. It has a 3g network support and video calling capability too and thats great. It has voice command feature with bluetooth for connectivity and much more.

Now the time has come to check out the other side of the image yes the bad ones!

Main Bads:

See water resistance above

Bulkier than even a large watch

No way to expand the built-in memory

Display colors and contrast are pretty washed out even in the dark

UI is somewhat slow at times

No FM radio

Trekkies would rather go for a lapel phone

I don’t think i need to explain these to you as you can simply understand what this mobile watch is lacking. The LG GD910 is too big for a watch but then, impressively small for a phone. The really troubleing bit is its thickness really. The mobile watch is very thick and many of us would hate that. Perhaps its just the beginning and future releases may shrink its size to to large extincts. The only other things to note at the front are the earpiece and the VGA camera, which is used for video-calling.

The general build quality of the LG GD910 is probably the best thing about the whole device. With nice looking and seemingly durable materials it looks set to last.

This product is available at the price of approximately 850 Euros

We hope you like this post on this cool watch and yes don’t forget to give us appreciating comment whether good or bad we take them seriously. Thanks

Now LG came up with its successor to the KU990 Viewty. This time its a smarter phone with some awesome capabilities. the Viewty Smart carries quite an impressive feature set including a 3″ capacitive touchscreen, 8 mega pixel auto focus camera with loads of options and the high-flying S-Class Touch UI. By the way LG Viewty Smart is not a smart phone but its features make this gadget so smart that its name is well worth it.

Before pointing out the good lets check out the bad first

Below average image quality

No voice-guided GPS navigation software available

No standard USB port and no inbuilt 3.5mm audio jack

Records video in 3GP format

Email attachment size limit is 1MB only (both ways)

Limited DivX/XviD video support

LG did this by releasing revolutionary touch screen phones that not only boost the company’s earning but also made it popular in the world of mobiles. LG produced some of the highest selling mobiles last year with its Viewty, Arena, Cookie and many more it got the success with.

LG is now currently ranked as the third largest mobile phone company and has currently sold a record 29.8 million handsets in the three months to July.

Lg mobile’s low cost also got a huge impact on its customers because LG’s cell phones were less priced than other phones in the market such as an iPhone and Samsung’s Omnia. LG Electronics earned 1.15 trillion won ($903m; £550m) in the quarter, against 707bn won a year ago. Thanks to its ever increasing mobile phone sales.

LG still has a line up of mobiles that are soon to hit the market and we know that due to the competition it would have to face it would come with something good and impressive that helps in increasing the sales and fans of the company. Reports are that Lg has already open a App store for its users that would provide useful softwares and updates for its mobile phones and taht would definately help Lg in getting to the top. The user interface experience is also the focus of Lg’s new models based on the company’s proprietary 3D cube menu launched earlier in the year is also helping boost the sales and rating of the Lg’s latest mobiles.
