If you want to try the Google Android OS before buying an Android phone or just want to taste it without spending money then you came to right place. You can easily try the Google Android OS 1.5 without downloading the whole SDK. Remember that the new HTC Droid Eris also comes with Android OS 1.5. You need just to download the emulator then you can easily explore the features of the Android OS. Access Internet from Android OS browser, change background, widgetize your screen etc. You can try it on Windows Xp, Vista and 7.
- Download Android Emulator v1.5 for Windows from here.
- Extract the contents of the .rar file.
- Rename the extracted folder to “Android-Emulator”.
- Download the patched executable files from here.
- Extract the file and Copy/Paste these patched files into the newly named “Android-Emulator” folder.
- Now enjoy using Android don’t forget to comment about your experience.
Tips and Tricks
- Change Wallpaper by clicking on the Menu Button click on Wallpaper and now select the wallpaper you want.
- You can access Internet on emulator by going to Menu>Settings>Wireless Controls then uncheck the Airplane Mode.
- Click on menu button and click on + to add widgets like Clock, Music Player etc. to screen.
