Windows Mobile 7 lacks Flash- Adobe

Windows Mobile 7 is going to be revealed in hours at MWC and we have got an update related to it. Adobe has confirmed that Windows Mobile 7 will not have flash initially. Steve Ballmer’s keynote scheduled for 3PM Barcelona local time. Flash would become part of Windows Mobile 7 in the future but we won’t be able to taste it as it launches. Flash is an important constituent of any mobile platform and as we know Adobe has also committed to bringing Flash Player 10.1 to the Android platform before the end of the first half of 2010, So Microsoft has to work fast if it wants some success for its upcoming Windows Mobile version.

We indicated this in our earlier post that Flash won’t be the part of Windows Mobile 7, below is some text from that post

This is what PhoneScoop wrote about Adobe’s statement

“Microsoft and Adobe are working closely together. While the newest version of Windows Phone won’t support Flash at initial availability, both companies are working to include a browser plug-in for the full Flash player in future versions of Windows Phone. More details will be shared at Microsoft MIX next month.”
